Purchased by Hertz Investment Group in 1999, the building at 433 South Spring boasts 12’ to 25’ ceilings and beautiful, marble and granite construction, decorated with mosaic tiles. Some floors are elegantly appointed with marble floors and columns, wood paneling, and painted ceilings. A former bank, it was once the home of Los Angeles Public Library. Today it hosts the city’s Cultural Affairs Office and other government agencies. Its twin at 419 South Spring is fully leased, with the Los Angeles Police Department occupying four floors. The Twin Springs Building was sold by Hertz Investment Group in March of 2002.
