Park Plaza Hotel |
|
|
The Park Plaza Hotel's lavish Romanesque architecture, Renaissance-style murals, marble floors and imported crystal chandeliers are reminiscent of an exotic Florentine palace. Built as an Elks Club lodge in 1925, the Park Plaza Hotel is today designated as an historical landmark. When Hertz Investment Group acquired the property in 1998, the Hertz family recognized its tremendous potential as a unique venue for high-profile events and romantic weddings. An affiliation with the highly successful catering company, Park Plaza Events, gave Hertz Investment Group capabilities for complete event planning, including prop-building, rental, and catering, both on and off-site. With its extraordinary period ambiance, the Park Plaza Hotel is in constant demand as a location for filming movies and commercials. A favorite haunt of the Hollywood set, the Park Plaza Hotel’s ornate ballrooms are frequently reserved for meetings, wrap parties, birthdays, weddings and private celebrity gatherings. The Park Plaza Hotel was managed by Chavi Hertz, until it was sold in 2006 at a substantial profit.
