Located in the heart of Reno's casino district, the Comstock Hotel is a 16-story complex with 310 rooms and 6 two-bedroom suites, meeting rooms, a heated pool, a sauna, and an exercise room. The hotel formerly included a 16,000 square-foot casino with old Virginia City mining town decor, featuring 710 slot machines, 22 gaming tables, keno and a sports book. The property was converted to a downtown residence hotel and operated by Hertz Investment Group for a number of years. The hotel was sold in 2004 to a real estate developer for conversion to condominiums for double its acquisition cost.
